Standing Committees

We have 5 Standing Committees tasked with running the activities of the Humboldt County Democratic Central Committee:

Campaign Services
Communication & Education
Community Outreach & Voter Registration
Operations
Ways & Means

The Committees meet at 6pm on the 2nd Wednesday before the General Meeting each month, with meetings scheduled in-between as needed.

What do the Standing Committees do?

Campaign Services

This committee focuses on endorsements and providing campaign services for endorsed Democrats during elections.

Communication & Education

This committee creates, edits, reviews communication documents including resolutions for adoption by the Central Committee.

Community Outreach & Voter Registration

This committee attends community events to register people to vote and increase awareness of the Democratic Central Committee's endorsed candidates, membership, platform & activities.

Operations

This committee is tasked with keeping the lights on and meeting the general operations needs of the Central Committee.

Ways & Means

This is the fundraising arm of the HCDCC. This committee organizes our annual Democrat of the Year dinner and other fundraising events throughout the year.
